During her 32 years on the Connecticut Superior Court bench, Judge Aurigemma has had a wide range of experience and accomplishment and has gained the respect and admiration of numerous attorneys with wide ranging backgrounds.

She has been the Presiding Civil Judge in the Middlesex Judicial District and Presiding Criminal Judge in Meriden. 

She has presided over more than 300 jury and court trials and has written over 1,000 decisions.

Judge Aurigemma was one of the five original judges on the Complex Litigation Docket.

She has served as the Administrative Judge and also presided over foreclosure dockets in the Hartford, Middlesex and New Britain Judicial Districts. 

Judge Aurigemma was on the Committee that drafted the Connecticut Code of Evidence.  She was also on the Civil Jury Instruction Committee, Rules Committee, and the Judicial Branch Executive Committee.

Judge Aurigemma was the Treasurer and Vice President of the Connecticut Judges’ Association, and the President of the Hartford Inns of Court.

Before going on the bench, Judge Aurigemma practiced in the areas of personal injury, commercial and employment litigation and was on the Cromwell Zoning Board.

She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her law degree from University of Connecticut School of Law.

She was reappointed for another eight (8) year term in 2022.
